Getting a job and taking people on to help with the business used to be, legally speaking, a “piece of cake”. Bosses could pick and choose who they took on and get rid of them at will. Workers knew that if they kept their nose clean and didn’t answer back too much they would probably keep their job.

Not now – over the past 50 years or so the idea that a job was a piece of property, like a home or a car, began to take shape. This led to the development of a whole body of law to protect jobs, improve safety, prevent abuse and discrimination, and regulate the relationship between the employed and their employers.

New rules and regulations proliferated dealing with virtually every aspect of life at work.

These rules and regulations are now so complex that they have almost reached the same degree of complexity as the social security laws.

Many problems that crop up in the workplace can be dealt with on the spot by the people involved. If this doesn’t work there are others you can turn to, such as the government-backed ACAS, or a trade union.

If things look like they might get out of hand, or if you are afraid a wrong step might make it that way, you have a host of resources to call on, lawyers, advice centres, telephone help lines and the CAB are obvious ways to get the help you need.

We are none of these – we are a dedicated source of expert advice and assistance for people who need the help quickly, reliably and at a reasonable cost. We deal with all aspects of employment law by all means available to solve problems. We offer advice, mediation, arbitration, intervention, and , if necessary, representation at Tribunal.

The charges for our help are fair and negotiable, and include “no win-no fee” in appropriate cases.

We have the skill and the knowledge to make a real contribution to resolving your workplace problem and we look forward to helping you.
